Join us for our Midweek Celebration of Holy Communion
St John's, Old Colwyn is a part of the Aled Mission Area in The Church in Wales in the Diocese of St Asaph located on the beautiful North Wales Coast. Our congregation meets at The Church of St John the Baptist, Station Road, Old Colwyn. You are invited to find out more by clicking on the buttons at the top of this page.
The Church of Jesus Christ is definitely about people and NOT about buildings, and our desire is to encourage people to grow and mature in their Faith in the Lord. For us the Bible is the Living Word of God and it contains all things profitable to Salvation; and our desire is to see lives transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.
St John's is open each weekday in school term-time from around 9.15am until 3.15pm, and we are always pleased when visitors call in to enjoy the quiet atmosphere, perhaps to light a candle and to say a prayer.
Each Sunday we have Holy Communion at 11.00am, and each Thursday we have our midweek Holy Communion at 10.00am and both services are usually followed by morning coffee and a time of fellowship and friendship. And the really good news is that ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US - AND WE'D BE THRILLED TO SEE YOU!
Holy Baptisms and Weddings continue to be a major part of life in our church, and if you live in Old Colwyn and are seriously committed to becoming a member of our church family, then these can be arranged with the Vicar after any service on a Sunday. Holy Baptism will take place by arrangement with the Vicar, on Sundays at 12.45pm, or during the 11.00am service if you prefer. We promise that it will be a real time of Christian welcome and celebration.
So why not come and join us? If you want to know more, then please contact the Church Office. We greatly look forward to seeing you.
